PUBLIC NOTICE - ANNEXATION PETITION

On June 28, 2022, a petition proposing the annexation of real property located at approximately 1860 North 3100 West (Lund Highway) and encompassing approximately 24.37 acres was filed by Carsten Mortensen. The area proposed for annexation in the petition is described as follows and shown on the attached map

BEGINNING AT A POINT N00°10'26"E ALONG THE SECTION LINE 1,332.61 FROM THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 35 SOUTH, RANGE 11 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN, BEING THE 1/16TH CORNER; THENCE N89°41'38"W ALONG THE 1/16TH LINE AND SYCAMORE TRAILS PUD SUBDIVISION PHASES 1 &2 1,423.17 FEET; THENCE N00°05'04"W ALONG THE EASTERLY RIGHT OF WAY OF LUND HIGHWAY 842.96 FEET; THENCE S89°40'28"E 762.25 FEET; THENCE S00°10'16"W 209.46 FEET; THENCE S89°40'45"E 664.71 FEET TO A POINT ON SAID SECTION LINE; THENCE S00°10'26"W ALONG SAID SECTION LINE 633.06 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 24.37 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

If no lawful protest is received, Notice is hereby given that the Cedar City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 5:15 p.m. in the Cedar City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah to consider a request to annex this property.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - PLANNING COMMISSION - AUGUST 16, 2022

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Cedar City Planning Commission on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, starting at 5:15 p.m. in the Cedar City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main, Cedar City, Utah.  Time will be allowed for public comment on the following items:

  • Consider a General Land Use Amendment, from Low Density Residential to Rural Estates (RE), for property located at approx. 1550 S. 5000 W. off Westview Dr.
  • Consider a Zone Change, from Annexed Transition (AT) to Residential Estates (RE), for property located at approx. 1550 S. 5000 W. off Westview Dr. 
  • Consider a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Vicinity Plan for property located at 464 N. 400 W., Hunt Property PUD.
  • Consider an Ordinance Text Amendment for Chapter 26-V-2 regarding parking requirements in residential areas.
  • Consider a Plat Amendment of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) for property located at approx. 1168 E. Ashdown Forest Rd., Ashdown Forest PUD, Phase 6, Lots 11 and 17.
  • Consider a Second Plat Amendment of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) for property located at approx. 1970 N. Mahogany Circle, Ashdown Forest PUD, Phase 6, Lot 7A.
  • Consider a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Vicinity Plan for property located at 2380 W. 580 N., Horse Alley PUD

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - CITY COUNCIL MEETING - AUGUST 17, 2022

The Cedar City Council will hold a Public Hearing during its August 17, 2022, City Council Work Meeting to consider modifications to Chapter 32 regarding public utility easements in residential areas.  The City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.  The public is encouraged to attend.
The Cedar City Council will hold a public hearing during its August 17, 2022, City Council Work Meeting to consider a zone change from Dwelling Multiple Unit (R-3-M) to SUU Housing District (SHD) for property located at 212 South 700 West. The City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.  The public is encouraged to attend.
The Cedar City Council will hold a public hearing during August 17, 2022, City Council Work Meeting to consider the disposal of City property located at 2180 North and 2182 North on Rosewood Lane.  The City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.  The public is encouraged to attend.
The Cedar City Council will hold a public hearing during its August 17, 2022, City Council Work Meeting to consider a zone change from Dwelling Multiple Unit (R-3-M) to SUU Housing District (SHD) for property located at 200 South 1400 West. The City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.  The public is encouraged to attend.
The Cedar City Council will hold a public hearing during its August 17, 2022, City Council Work Meeting to consider a general land use amendment from High Density Residential to SUU Housing District for property located at 200 South 1400 West. The City Council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the City Council Chambers located at 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah.  The public is encouraged to attend.
