The city recorder keeps records and minutes of all proceedings of the City Council, accurately records all ordinances and resolutions passed by City Council, certifies to the posting or publication of all ordinances, and attests all papers signed by the mayor. Other duties of the City Recorder's Office:
  • Business licensing officer
  • Maintain the Municipal Code
  • Maintain and countersigns all contracts made on behalf of the city
  • Maintain historical records of the city
  • Maintain all permanent personnel records
  • Maintain cemetery deeds/records
  • Records management officer
  • City election officer
