Cedar City Regional Airport's main runway and crosswind runway will undergo major reconstruction this year beginning March 16, 2020. This project is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funded project and is estimated to be completed by September 25, 2020.
Beginning on March 16, 2020, Delta Air Lines will temporarily halt commercial service and the reconstruction of Runway 2-20 will begin.
March 16, 2020 - Commercial service, provided by Delta Air Lines, will halt and Phase 1 of the project will go underway (South Half of Runway 2-20).
May 15, 2020 - Phase 1 will be complete and Phase 2 will begin (North Half of Runway 2-20).
July 18, 2020 - Phase 2 will be complete and Runway 2-20 will reopen
July 19, 2020 - Commercial Service will continue and Phase 3 will begin (Runway 8-26).
August 7, 2020 - Phase 3 will be complete and Phase 4 will begin (Runway Safety Areas).
September 8, 2020 - Phase 4 will be complete and Phase 5 will begin (Airport Markings and Runway Grooving).
September 25, 2020 - Phase 5 will complete, airport will be returned to normal use.
