PUBLIC NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE PRIMARY MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR CEDAR CITY, AND PAROWAN CITY WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2021

Brian Head Town, Enoch City, Kanarraville Town, and Paragonah Town, will not be holding a Primary Election. 

Voting Registration Deadlines and Important dates.

If you have moved or changed your name, you will need to re-register to vote.

July 20             Ballots mailed out to all active/eligible registered voters.

July 30             Last day to register to vote by mail, in person, or electronic, 5 P.M.

August 3          Last day to request an absentee ballot. 

August 9           By mail MUST BE POSTMARKED. 

August 10          Polls open from 7:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M.

IRON COUNTY IS A BY-MAIL COUNTY. Ballots will be mailed out to eligible voters on July 20, 2021. Voters must be of legal voting age, citizens of the United States, and resident of the voting precinct in which they are registered. If you have re- registered by the above deadlines, we will mail you a ballot to your new address. Voters can check their registration status and view specific sample ballot online at www.vote.utah.gov or call (435)477-8340. Returned ballots must have postage and clearly postmarked by August 9, 2021. 

Ballot drop box locations: July 20-August 10 2021, During business hours

Cedar City Office – 10 N Main St, Cedar City. Parowan City Office – 35 E 100 N, Parowan. County Clerk’s Office – 68 S 100 E, Parowan.

Election Day Voting Is Held at The Following Locations Polls open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M.

Cedar City Council Chambers, 10 N Main Cedar City Iron County Courthouse, 68 S 100 E, Parowan

Voters will be required to provide valid voter identification to the poll worker before voting as follows: a valid form of photo identification that shows your name and photograph, or two different forms of identification that shows your name and current address.

Canvass of Elections: Cedar City – August 18, 2021, 5:30 P.M.

Parowan City – During a special Council meeting on August 19, 2021 4:00 P.M.

Logic & Accuracy Demonstration of devices: Friday, July 16, 2021 at 3:00 P.M.
