The Police Department has 46 employees with an average of 17 Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) organized in the following areas:

Administrative Division

This unit is administered by the Chief of Police and includes the Administrative Sergeant, Animal Control officers, Code Enforcement officers, School Resource officers, School Crossing Guards, Police Secretary, and the Evidence/Crime Scene Specialist.

Patrol Division

This unit is administered by the Patrol Lieutenant and includes the patrol sergeants and corporals assigned to each of the patrol shifts and the patrol officers. It also consists of the K-9 officers and Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS).

Operations Division

This unit is administered by the Operations Lieutenant and includes the Investigation Sergeant and investigators, the Narcotics Task Force Sergeant, Neighborhood Preservation and Director of the Safety Solution Coalition. The Operations Lieutenant is responsible for the training of the Department as well as investigating complaints made against the officers and staff members.
