Cedar
Ridge Golf Course is one of the state's finest
community operated
golf courses, including a well-stocked pro shop and clubhouse with
a snack bar. The course itself is friendly enough for beginners,
but has plenty of challenges for the seasoned golfers.
Cedar Ridge treats golfers to beautiful scenery and some of the
most challenging golf southern Utah has to offer. From short par
3s with cliff-top tee boxes to long par 4s into the wind, Cedar
Ridge offers players almost every golfing challenge. "Because
of the way it's laid out, it will offer most golfers a chance to
use every club in their bag," says John Evans, Cedar Ridge
head pro and former PGA golfer.
Located
at 200 East 900 North, the golf course lies along the red cliffs
on the east side of Cedar City. It is an 18-hole course with a par
of 73. The course's season runs from February to December and is
typically open from sun-up to sundown, as long as the frost has
cleared from the grass. Hours of operation are approximately 6:30
a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the summer and 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the
winter. Carts and clubs can be rented and a driving range is available.
Metal spiked shoes are not allowed. Tee times are first come, first
serve.
