Cedar City Regional Airport is a full-service facility
centrally located to provide convenient access to industrial
parks and commerce centers as well as National Parks and
Monuments (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and Cedar
Breaks), winter-summer resorts (Brian Head Resort, Navaho
Lake, Duck Creek), and acres of pristine hiking and scenic
recreational areas.
The
Airport Terminal is handy for the business and pleasure
traveler with daily commercial air service (Delta
Connection), free long-term parking next to the
terminal, easy access to the ticket counter, departure gate,
car rental agencies (Avis
and
Enterprise), business
conference room and baggage claim area. Just two miles from
downtown Cedar City (off Highway 56 on Aviation Way), a new
passenger terminal, with a look and feel of a National Park
Lodge, was opened in October 2005.
A new terminal with amenities for private pilots was
recently opened at
Sphere One Aviation,
the Airport’s FBO (Fixed Base Operation).
Home to the second-largest runway in the State (8,653-feet
long by 150-feet wide), Cedar City can accommodate larger
aircraft for charter planes and other airport tenants such
the Bureau of Land Management Fire Tanker Base, Cedar City
Hot Shots, Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue, UPS and FedEx
Cargo and Life Flight services.
